Set in a beautiful and peaceful little village in the Jura mountains , La Douzette is an old farmhouse build in 1657. Unfortunately, much of its documented history was lost, mainly due to the 1863 fire that destroyed the school building where the municipal offices were housed. Little is known about its previous owners, except that it has been residence to the Abplanalp family since 1882. The present owners, Audrey and Jean-Robert Abplanalp have recently given the living quarters a major face lift. It was a challenge to meet today's comfort requirements while retaining the rustic features of the house. We believe we have succeeded in marrying old and new harmoniously and have enjoyed weekends and holidays at La Douzette.

Now we wish to share the calm and serenity of the area with its magnificent forests and grazing fields with you. Whether you are adept at hiking, skiing, outings on rackets or cross country cycling; or if you simply like to relax, sightsee or visit museums and parks, you will ask for more, that is for sure. Numerous activities like horse riding, trout fishing, sky diving, hang-gliding, canoeing, diving, rock climbing, golfing and so much more are offered in the village or nearby
